Mining Core Analysis
Solutions using MASTInc’s ultra sensitive HCS technology are being developed as rapid, low-powered sensor arrays to dramatically change mineral and natural resource exploration.
Among these is a solution that will enable real-time feedback on drill core content at the drill site, thereby providing invaluable data to improve the efficiency of the drilling process and to significantly reduce costs associated with traditional core analysis.
Utilizing flux injection with a combination of both magnetic and inductive sensing, a series of measurements and analyses will be performed along the length of the drill core. An extensive database of unique magnetic signatures of minerals and natural resources will be developed, which will enable “training” of the system to focus on particular signatures for specific application thus enhancing system performance.
Applicability of this solution is vast, ranging from precious metals, such as gold, to other natural resources including oil.
